Currently
I have just finished re powering my 60 series landcruiser.
The old strong but slow boat anchor petrol was given
the flick for something with a bit more of a note. A
F100 302 Windsor found its way into the engine bay with
EFI of an XR8. Gas was fitted shortly there after, given
today's fuel prices. This was mated up to the original
5 speed gearbox. I'll paste up more details on the build
soon.
One of
the on going projects at the shop is the restoration
of a 76 Datsun 260Z. One of the aims how the restoration
was to give it a new heart and as such it now features
a series 2 VP V6 and T5 gearbox. If you want to learn
more about this project drop by the shop or go to the
project
page for more details.
This
was one of the earlier re-powering projects. It was
a SWB mid 80s patrol. The original L28 engine while
torque was never going to get you anywhere fast. This
was replaced with a VN series 1 V6 engine and auto gearbox.
This was mated to the original transfer box. It made
for an very powerful and nimble combination.
Could
your car be the next one featured here? Recently a kingswood
ute was fitted with a commodore V6 and auto. Is that
something you would be interested in?
